A.Differaction of light
The phenomenon of bending of light around the corner of an obstacle ór aperature in the path of light on account of this bending light penetrates into geometrical shadow of the obstackle is called differaction of light.
B. Interference of light
The phenomenon of redistribution of light energy on account of superpostion of light waves from two coherent sources is called interference of light. The point where resultant Intensity is maximum is called constructive interference and the point where resultant intensity is minimum is called destructive interference.
C. Polarisation of light
The phenomenon of restriction of vibration of light in a particular direction i.e perpendicular to the direction of wave motion is called polarisation of light.
